Evaluation of oxidative stress in idiopathic male infertility in the Iraqi population

چکیده

Introduction and Aim: Idiopathic infertility accounts for at least 30% of all cases infertility, oxidative stress has been identified as a novel developing factor in idiopathic male infertility. Oxidative occurs when antioxidant defense mechanisms are outmatched by the creation reactive oxygen species (ROS). The purpose this research was to examine impact enzymatic antioxidants (catalase superoxide dismutase; CAT SOD) on sperm DNA fragmentation associated alteration Iraqi males with Materials Methods: One hundred infertile guys (50 oligozoospermia 50 asthenozoospermia) normospermia) had their dismutase, catalase, malondialdehyde levels tested. Results: Our study showed that index (DFI) patients who suffered from asthenozoospermia higher than individuals normozoospermia. Seminal plasma SOD MDA were participants compared controls (P < 0.001) .The concentration seminal oligozoospermic asthenozoospermic men not significantly different normospermic men. DFI correlated negatively status (SOD, CAT) MDA, while positively MDA. Conclusion: impacts include breakage sperm, lipid peroxidation being primary cause This is less successful fertility outcomes couples. According findings we obtained, well substantially quality sperm.

Oxidative stress & male infertility.

The male factor is considered a major contributory factor to infertility. Apart from the conventional causes for male infertility such as varicocoele, cryptorchidism, infections, obstructive lesions, cystic fibrosis, trauma, and tumours, a new and important cause has been identified: oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is a result of the imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antiox...

A Review: Role of oxidative stress in male infertility

Recent studies have shown that reactive oxygen species (ROS) have a very important role in the intracellular signaling process in physiological conditions. On the other hand, during the recent decade it has been indicated that ROS play a role in various types of male infertility and it is due to the overproduction of ROS or decrease in the antioxidant defense system in the reproductive system a...

Genetic Variation of Choline Dehydrogenase Gene in Idiopathic Male Infertility

Infertility can be caused by an unexplained reduction in semen quality in males who present asnormal on physical examination and endocrine testing. There is some evidence that aberrantmetabolism of micronutrients such as choline may play a causative role in male factorinfertility. Choline is a crucial factor in the regulation of sperm membrane structure andmotility, and this nutrient plays an i...
